As per Wikipedia,
Google Home is a wireless speaker and voice-command device developed by Google. It was announced on May 18, 2016, at Google I/O. Google Home is a voice-activated home product that allows you and your family to get answers from Google, stream music, and manage everyday tasks. The product is similar to the Amazon Echo. Google Home is a virtual agent that answers simple questions and carries out basic tasks. Google Home will come to market in the fall — a long time away, given the speed of technology, but Google needed to plant a stake in the ground now.
